Hello again, today I want to talk to you about how to remove skin tags. Skin tags are also known as cutaneous papilloma or acrochorda by the medical community. Acrochordon is from the Greek root and I’ve written about that in a previous post. It’s funny how the medical community come up with such funny names for these skin nubbins or skin tags. Personally I find them annoying. That’s why I set up this blog to help others who want to get rid of skin tags in the comfort of their own home.

Skin tags aren’t dangerous or malignant. They aren’t moles or warts and they aren’t cause for concern. But if you’re like me, you might find them just unpleasant. I do. Or should I say did, I’ve been able to get rid of them completely now and haven’t had any new ones for almost 6 months. And if another little one wants to sprout I’ll just zap it and it’ll be gone in no time at all.

Skin tags removal used to be done by a physician. Actually, that’s how I got rid of my first few. My doctor didn’t think they were such a big deal and assured me that they were just part of growing older. I realized that, but I still didn’t like them even if they weren’t causing me any harm. I had one though that was on my neck and kept getting snagged on my favorite necklace. After I tore it the second time I decided to get rid of it. That was the last one that my doctor froze off for me. The others I’ve safely and easily removed for myself.

You too can easily learn to remove skin tags for yourself and I’m going to share with you this really neat product that I found that has helped me get my skin tag removed by doing it myself. Hello, Maggie here. My first post is all about the types of skin tag removers you can choose from and including my favorite skin tag remover. That’s maybe more info than you were expecting. From now on I’ll just refer to them as skin tags as that is what they are most commonly known as.

The most common skin tag remover method is probably freezing followed closely by surgery. And when I say surgery I just really mean that they are cut off. Skin tags very seldom have any nerve endings in them so sniping them off is fairly easy and painless. The problem is that most times these methods are done at a physician’s office and health plans very seldom cover this elective surgery.
